Is There a Spiritual World?

If you believe that a spiritual realm exists, then you fall into one of two types. Those who have experienced something otherworldly and therefore believe, or those who just want to believe.  Since religion stems from belief in a spiritual realm, the same applies to religion, those who believe because they have seen, and those who believe but have not seen.

So, what do I mean by Spiritual Realm

A spiritual realm is defined[1] as: relating to supernatural beings or phenomena; Incorporeal, having no material body or form.

Using this definition allows us to distinguish between those who believe there is only the physical realm, and those who acknowledge the existence of multiple realms of reality, supernatural, parallel, or other.  Then there are those who are oblivious, they have no idea what they believe, so therefore, we ignore them for this discourse.  Those who believe in a spiritual world, fall into many disparate groups, one of which is religion, belief in God or Gods within the invisible reality.  Out of which has developed many differing, complex systems of group thought.

Group thought is simply shared ideas, around which, humans as social animals, group up, such as political parties, sports fans, and scientists.  Also known as Schools of Thought, shared ideas can form vast, complex, and fascinating domains from which societies, civilizations, languages, and cultures spawn.  History and Archeology have given us physical evidence of this truth.  These two disciplines have also shown us how spiritual beliefs are at the core of almost every group known, such as the Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians, to name a few.

Study of these historical groups of societies shows us that most of humanity have always known that a spiritual world exists.  Those who deny it, are few and far between.  From this point forward, we will ignore those who deny the existence of a reality beyond the physical, they are irrelevant.  Never-the-less, we will not ignore the physical world as it is intertwined with the other world or worlds.

The physical world exists within a framework of rules, natural laws that govern what can and cannot happen.  These rules are in fact definitions of what reality is.  The spirit realm is also structured.  Within it are hierarchies, entities, spirits, places, knowledge, power, and energy.  In some ways, it also mirrors the physical.  The world of the invisible is also as vast, complex, and as fascinating as the physical world in which we exist.

Those of us who are spiritual, know this invisible world, whether it be through religion, the occult, shamanism or other.  Functionally though, we do not exist in the spiritual realm, but we have contact with it, as well as an awareness that includes transference.  Transference of energy that can affect the physical matter in our universe.  There are innumerable accounts of past experiences of this phenomenon.  As science has discovered, matter is created out of Energy, which exists in both worlds.  In the end, science can explain the reality of the spiritual world.
